What is masculinity? How do we relate masculinity to mental health? What are some mental health challenges faced by men? People from all genders, face obstacles in their daily lives. However, why is it the case that compared to women, men are less likely to seek help when faced with mental health issues? In this panel discussion, our panelists will address the questions above and discuss on how we can better support men in navigating challenges in life. Towards the end of the discussions, the panelists will also take questions.
One of the meanings derived from the word “Yoga” is “to be in relationship with”. During this session, we will learn simple movement and breathing techniques, that will enable us to develop the ability to be more connected with ourselves and consequently have a deeper connection with those around us. We will understand that creating better choices and boundaries for ourselves in the workplace, school, family and in life is possible, and we can always reach out for support from others whom we are connected with. We are never alone in our journey, and we can support others in theirs.
Stress Management: How to manage stress effectively
In this half hour talk, A/P Lee will share with the audience the difference between mental health and mental problem; helps the audience identify sources of stress (internal and external); how stress present in our daily life (physical, psychological, emotional, cognitive and behavioural), and lastly, share with all some simple tips on managing stress effectively.
A panel discussion will also be happening after the sharing.

Mental Health First Aid allows you to takeaway skills such as recognising symptoms and warning signs of stress, anxiety and even depression. You will also learn what to do in such situations to provide a supportive environment for the ones around you.

Under the guidance of our Deaf facilitators, challenge the notion of disability by immersing yourself in the silent world of the Deaf. We invite you on a 4-zone journey of experiential empathy, to foster self care and inclusion, from rush to Hush.
Two patients meet at the former Woodbridge Hospital: Vinod, a straight-A student and articulate school debater with severe depression whose high-flying parents are distant; and Saloma, a withdrawn vocational student wrestling with schizophrenia who has a poorly educated but caring mother. Off Centre paints an honest, unflinching look at how the mentally ill are regarded in Singapore and how far society has to go to give them acceptance and support.
